Homeless Services work group
a work group of el cajon collaborative

El Cajon Collaborative recognizes the challenges that face our growing homeless population in East County.  Our stakeholders recognize the complexities of issues including housing costs and availability, mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, employment availability and lack of local services and shelter. This work group is looking at programs and practices in other cities to see what success they have had.  We will also work closely with our local Chamber of Commerce, law enforcement, school districts and local government to initiate new programs and help expand services in East County.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Carol Lewis, ECC Coordinator, at carol.lewis@elcajoncollaborative.org.

Meetings are held virtually on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. with the East Co. Homeless Task Force Group #4 Access to Services.  Meetings are open to the public.  Email for a link to the meeting.

Chair: Carol Lewis, El Cajon Collaborative Coordinator
Co-Chair: Rosa Alcaraz, Community Advocate, Resident Leadership Academy
